made by people using natural objects. Any material that people need and value
that are part of the Earth is called a resource.
All
kinds of natural things that are useful to us are called natural resources.
Plants, animals, air, soil, water and forests are natural resources. Crude Oil,
Metals, LPG Natural gas and coal are natural resources obtained from the Earth.
Crude oil or petroleum is a liquid substance that is found deep below the
Earth's surface. Diesel gasoline and kerosene are obtained from crude oil.
Metals
such as copper, aluminum, gold, and silver are solid substances found
underground. Coal is a hard rock that can burn and forms deep underground.
These resources are extracted by mining.
Natural
resources are of two types, renewable resources and
non-renewable resources. Resources such as plants, animals, forests, water and
air are continually being renewed through a rapid natural process. They are
therefore called renewable resources. These resources are useful to us, it is
our duty to protect them and to use them with care so that they last longer.
Natural
resources such as crude oil, coal and metal are available in limited
quantities. They are not renewed by rapid natural processes. They are called
non-renewable resources. Renewable natural resources will be finished someday.
We need to use non-renewable resources very carefully.
Test
your knowledge of natural resources by solving this ultimate

gardening, growing crops, generating electricity and many other purposes. Very
often we take it for granted and most of the time we are wasting this precious
resource.
Water
is the most important and most widespread resource in nature. As you already
know, it covers the three mosses of the earth's surface in the form of ponds,
lakes, rivers, seas and oceans.
Soil
Soil is
the thin layer of decomposed rock particles and decaying organic matter found
on the surface of the earth. It takes thousands of years for soil to form. The
color of the soil depends on the type of rock from which it is formed.
The
soil differs from place to place. Each type of soil has qualities that can be
good or bad for the growth of various plants. Sand, crack and clay are the main
types of soil. Most soils are made up of a combination of these three types of
soil.
Forest
Forests
are one of our natural resources. Our country is covered with green forests of
all kinds. The wide variety of trees depends on the soil, climate, altitude,
and water resources available for their growth in a particular location.
Different
types of forests such as evergreen forests, deciduous forests, mountain
vegetation, mangrove forests, desert vegetation. Forests are necessary for
