1. Hazardous waste: Hazardous
wastes may be toxic, harmful to humans, animals and plants as well these wastes
may catch fire i.e. combustible, flammable or explosive. Hazardous waste may be
reactive, corrosive, and radioactive. This type of waste can be from hospital
industrial or even domestic in origin.
2. Non-hazardous waste: It does not have any harmful effect on environment

organic properties
1. Biodegradable waste: It is organic

etc. that converted into simpler units and then we can use them as fertilizers,
manure, compost, biogas, etc.
2. Non degradable wastes: Waste that cannot be broken down by
